Cake Mania Mobile

Cake Mania Mobile
I played a couple remakes of computer games on my mobile phone like Worms Forts, SimCity, Red Baron and much more. All of these games make me sad, because if they spend a little bit of time on polishing they will create great games.

I have bad feeling when I was download Cake Mania to my phone, but I’ve got a great game, one of best computer game remake on mobile I ever play. Game runs smoothly, it is very comfortable to control the game and all other elements are fine tuned.

In this game you play role of young waitress in the sweetshop and you must handle costumer, make cakes and keeping costumers happy. For this activity you’ve got some money which you need to pass mission objectives and buy new furniture to your sweetshop (new types of ovens, televisions and much more). Sounds silly? Come on, it is fantastic fun.

This game is must for all mobile gamers and I want to recommend this game to everyone who looking for something addictive and there is PC version too for those who do not like mobile games (Cake Mania PC review). Well if you don’t like sweetshops, there are a variety of similar games, where instead of cooking cake you cook pizzas, pastas or working in hospital. How crazy is today world where everybody use one content.

Worms Forts Mobile

Worms Forts
I spend few hours playing this sequel of one of most legendary game: Worms on my mobile phone. First impression was really great: nice graphics, smooth game play, but hopefully I found many downsides of this game.

The weakness point of the game is AI of bots: it is predictable: each game start like this: build tower, launch moos rocket, build another tower, launch napalm and after they launch all nonstandard weapons, they randomly launch the bazooka or grenade.

The main mechanics that make this sequel different to other Worms games is building the towers, castles and other buildings. If you jump to the top of these building you can fire some special weapons. Well I have no idea why… The game is also very frustrating: each team is on their own “island” and they can move to each other island. This caused lack of head to head combat. It is quite boring: you can’t use any tactics, just fire randomly around the level and pray for hitting someone.

Hey guys from game companies: don’t kill the games by overlook the details like time of falling boxes with weapons: when you build the weapon factory each turn drop one box with box. This box falls for about 6 second and you can’t skip it. If each player builds their weapon factory you will wait about 30 second after to next turn. I don’t like this and it very frustrate me.

I don’t write a lot of good things about this game, but game looking good and might be very addictive in multiplayer. But this game could be very much better if the developer spend some little time to polish it.

IQ Academy: Brain Training For Your Mobile

I don’t play mobile games very much, but when I can’t resist when I found this game. It is variation to famous Brain Training game for Nintendo DS which was sold millions of copies through whole world.

First thing that impress me to this game is great tune of control, it seems that this is standard behavior for all games, but this hopefully not works in mobileenvironment. This game is great tuned and completely fit my Sony Ericsson K510i.

Game start very smoothly in few second. IQ Academy consists of 8 test type games that test your “right brain” ability. You can play this game in two modes. First one is Examination in which you pass all mini-games and you can be awarded by one of title (fromschool kid through high school student to college student and more). Second one is practice mode in which you can play your favorite mini-games. I like this mode a lot and enjoy it for few hours.

I want highly recommend to buy this game. It is one of best logic mobile game I ever plays.
