Alice Greenfingers: casual SimFarm?

Alice Greenfingers

I used to spend a huge amount of hours by playing SimFarm: game where you build your farm, seed some corps, harvest and sell it. The game came to this world before 14 years and it is not that successful like theSimCity. This old love with SimFarm caused that I download this game and I want to share some tips here.

In this game you control some girl - Alice and create your garden. It is up to you if you want to create your dream garden and don’t mind your profit or (like me) create high productive farm and madly clicks through your game session. Well, objective is simply: grow your fruits and sell it on the market.

Game is not so complex: you just click around and don’t have a some time to thinking about strategy, just found first fruit tree who need water, grab fruits from tree and sell it. It is simply, but millions of peoples who likes Diner Dash might like this too and it is absolutely addictive to me.

As I say: the game is not so complex and forgot to charts, graphs or anything like this. This aspect of game I really missed when I selling my crops - in the market. You just click to the “market button” send fruits for selling and set prize. There is no way how to estimate the good prize, you can just try and if you are too expensive nobody will buy it.

Another weakness point was buying new baskets, which you need for harvesting. During the game you need a lot of basket (I usually need about 50 each few minutes (about five)) and you need to click to the shop button, select basket icon and place to the map. During the game you’ve got access to the basket pack including 5 basket, but this is not enough and you spend a significant time to purchasing this type of equipment.

In the opposite of this weakness points there are a lot of good things: it is very addictive and relaxing with eye catching pixel graphics and having nice sound and music. I want to recommend this game to all players who don’t look to the hardcore simulation of Farm, but want something relaxing.

Pong’s not dead!

Pong’s not dead! One of the oldest games is still here with us and it can still surprise us with a new modification and minutes, sometimes even hours of fun. Game like this are really immortal.

In this great flash modification you are the only player - your enemy is only time and you have to survive as long as you can. With two bats you have to guard two balls and in between of them is a wall to parry both balls. You must control bats with four buttons - two for every bat, up and down.

Sounds easy, but you must look at two other places at a time and of course balls get faster and faster. In the end the game will show you, how big your brain is and what person is “smart” as you are;o)

IQ Academy: Brain Training For Your Mobile

I don’t play mobile games very much, but when I can’t resist when I found this game. It is variation to famous Brain Training game for Nintendo DS which was sold millions of copies through whole world.

First thing that impress me to this game is great tune of control, it seems that this is standard behavior for all games, but this hopefully not works in mobileenvironment. This game is great tuned and completely fit my Sony Ericsson K510i.

Game start very smoothly in few second. IQ Academy consists of 8 test type games that test your “right brain” ability. You can play this game in two modes. First one is Examination in which you pass all mini-games and you can be awarded by one of title (fromschool kid through high school student to college student and more). Second one is practice mode in which you can play your favorite mini-games. I like this mode a lot and enjoy it for few hours.

I want highly recommend to buy this game. It is one of best logic mobile game I ever plays.

Havok was acquired by Intel

Havok logoTechCrunch inform theirs readers that Intel acquire Havok: one of the most significant physical engine middleware publisher. Havok was founded in 1998 in Dublin, Ireland and theirs engine was used in most of modern games and it is available for PC, PS2, PS3, Wii, Xbox 360 and much more platforms.

Why Intel – hardware publisher – needs middleware vendor for game industry? Havok is processed directly by CPU and Intel might optimize this engine more for the Intel processors. This should express on benchmarks.

Or there is one rumor: What if the Intel wants create their own PPU (physics processing unit). They could use their strong position and, unless Ageia with their PhysX, succeed.

Bloxorz: great logic game

BloxorzI have another logic flash game for you today. You can control a block and move with it on a playing area. Your mission is to let the block fall down in a prepared hole.

Of course it’s not as easy as it looks like. You must use few special fields and be careful to not fall down somewhere, where you don’t have to. Game has many levels, so it’s fun for a long time and it’s real good to train planing ability.

Are you bored by Bejeweled?

If you are, I have perfect tip for you today. It’s called Jungo and it’s very similar, but brings many new ideas, beautiful graphic and even a story.

As a puma named Jungo you have to save animals in the jungle, which are cursed by the evil aasvogel Vargas. Princip is classic as in Bejeweled - you can switch two neighbouring balls. But if you will place three of the same color near by, they will not disappear - you can place there others same colored balls too and make groups with 10 or more balls at once! The balls will then disappear if you wont do anything with this group for a short time. If you will save a given count of animals, Jungo will charm a colored star-ball and if you destroy it, you save all the animals in the level.

Of course, there are some special bonus balls too, which can do sweet moves with other balls! In first levels Jungo will tell you how to use them. In every level you can look for hidden animal trail too and open special bonuses in menu.

You can download and play free trial and if you’ll like it, of course you can buy full game too.
