Lego Indiana Jones

Lego Indiana JonesWho was your hero when you was small? Well if I think about this, I get a few - and on them is Indiana Jones for sure. And because new - fourth sequel - is coming to cinemas in a few months, I was looking for something to tease me even more:o)

Other thing, I liked very much when I was small was Lego. OK, it wasn’s exactly Lego, it was some kind of chinese cheap clone, but I always dreamed of having Lego;oD And if we mix these two things - Indiana Jones and Lego - we will get tonights game - Lego Indiana Jones.

Once upon a time I played Lego Star Wars and it was fantastic. It was easy, but fun, and even if it wasn’t looking quite perfect, I could play it for hours. And right now the very same game studio is working on the similar game with Indiana Jones theme. For this we must wait until june and that’s why I present you Lego Indiana Jones the flashgame.

Concept is quite easy but catching - in every level you must run before something and collect gold. If you are good, you can try look for secrets too. Indiana is running by himself, so your only task is to point the gold on the screen with your mouse and when you see something dangerous (red glowing objects), click on it - Indiana will find out how to deal with the situation.

There are only two levels at the moment, but don’t worry - there should be two other soon.

Pros:

  • great looking
  • you don’t need much time
  • easy to understand

Cons:

  • only two levels yet

Conclusion:

If you like Indiana and Lego, it’s perfect game for you to kill some time. But even if these things are not your cup of tee, try this easy arcade, it’s one of the best flash arcades I’ve ever seen and it’s quite short, so it won’t take you much time.

Cobacoli: ball-physic game

Cobacoli There are several classical genres around experimental games and one of the biggest and well played games are based around physics, like this little game.

Game mechanics:
You control white circle by mouse and your objective is to move colored circles to the same colored walls. Limited amount of shots and penalization for touching to any colorized walls makes few levels pretty hard, but nothing is random and all is in your hand.

I am not sure how much levels are included in the game: I go through 11 or 12 different levels. When you fail to accomplish the level you must start from the begining, but the levels are shuffled randomly then it is not so big distraction.

Game use simple retro like graphics made by geometric shapes and few colors. There are also some decent particle effects and that’s all.

Pros:

  •   game runs smooth
  •   easy to learn and fun for first few minutes

Cons:

  •   you have just one live and when you fail one level you must start from beginning
  •   interface in the middle of game level is not great choice

Conclusion:
Cobacoli is not one of the you-must-play game, but if you have a couple of minutes, then try it, it is fun. You can play it at JayIsGames and I also recommend you to try Boomshine game.

A Seagull Company: Run a Race Game

Seagull companyToday I want to recommend you one unusual game from classic genre: platform games. Objective of this game is quite easy, but usually hard to achieve. You are some kind of sailor and you must win the race.

You are running through nine different levels and must check all checkpoints. There are also traps, a lots of traps. From pitfalls which are knows from Mario age, through statues that spits fire to variety things with barbs. There are also a lot of competitors, but theirs objective is just keeping company to you.

You can use keyboard or mouse to play this game and I definitely recommend to use mouse, because keyboard controls are not so accurate. And one warning on the end: the game is very hard to play.

Pros:

  • nine different levels
  • great idea and workmanship
  • it is fun to play

Cons:

  • while playing on mouse, you sometimes accidently clicks to ads around the game which disturb the game
  • there are no checkpoints, once you died you must start from begging - and trust me you will died very often. This frustrate me a bit.

Finally finished Gears of war

Finally finished Gears of warAs I wrote few months ago, I really like first person shooters, because sometimes I like to relax and don’t think about anything else. And I’m not only casual player and sometimes I must play something “bigger”. And that’s why I’m writing about it - my idea is to show casual gamers, that there are many good big games too!

Well, yesterday I found myself a new favourite in this genre - about the midnight I finished PC version of Gears of war. OK, it’s third person shooter, but who cares;oD It’s almost the same…

It took me about three, four days. A little short maybe (for gamers with no time perfect), but I have to say, that I’ve never played such an intensive game! It didn’t let me stop even for a second. The game is very well designed and it has exactly the “one more checkpoint pleeease”effect. Most times I don’t really like the checkpoint system, but here it worked OK, I think. Maybe because there are many places, where’s nothing to do and then a big gunfight. And between these big ones there’s always a checkpoint, so you don’t need to worry about losing your progress. Difficulty is greatly balanced. You can even choose the “casual” difficulty. I played the hardcore one and I got stuck only in the last fight. And trust me - there were MANY nasty words all around:oD

The main thing - gunfights - are absolutelly perfect. In many games you can play Rambo style - stay in the middle of a street and shoot at everything what’s alive. But not here - if you don’t cover yourself well, there’s a big probability, that you’ll see “Game over” sign pretty soon. That’s why you can find many cover places in every level and you must still run between them and look for the best one. Enemies are pretty inteligent and of course they can cooperate very well. Fortunatelly you’ve got team-mates too. Unfortenatelly sometimes they act dumb, but you can take a friend and play cooperate play. I didn’t found anyone to play with me yet, but I’m really looking forward to play this game again with some friend of mine.

Of course graphics is fantastic. What to say more about it? I’m sure you’ve seen some videos and I think it’ll tell you more, then thousands of words. And the other fantastic thing is music - I really hope that I can find it somewhere in MP3 and listen to it in my iPod. Actually I can’t remember any game where I was listening to soundtrack and I really liked it in few last months.

So if you want to experience some action in your living room (I don’t think, that there are many differences between PC and original Xbox360 version) , try Gears of war and I’m sure, you’ll be amazed as I am.

Icy Escort - save the pinguins!

Icy EscortDon’t worry, Icy Escort is no ecologic Greenpeace game, but quite interesting arcade with pinguin mother in the main role. Actually this mom is not a good one - she has lost her children and your goal is to help her find them all. And don’t worry, I’m sure that this story will have an good end, if you’ll try hard enough:o)

Interesting thing about this game is one of the articles I like most - it’s easy to control. You need only left mouse button. Pinguin mom is moving by herself and by clicking the mouse you can make her jump. You can save pinguin children only by touching them and your only enemy is time. Each of 10 levels (it’s not much, but unfortenatelly it must be enough) can be shown only at one screen, that’s why everything is well-aranged. Of course you can find many other game objects - labers or boxes, that can change your direction or ice and ice lollies that can help you get higher score.

If you are bored and want to try some pretty looking and not very difficult game, Icy Ecsort is perfect choice for you. Click here and play this game in your browser

Sushi go round - do you like japanese food?

Sushi go roundDo you like japanese food? And do you like Dinner dash and it’s clones? If so, I’ve got great news for you - today I present you great flash clone. You’re an owner of a sushi restaurant here and of course your only task is to serve your customers as well as you can.

It’s quite difficult, because you can offer many types of sushi and you must cook it of course! So if a customer would like an Onigiri, first of all you must look into your cooking book and find out what resources you need. Most times it’s of course rice and nori. Another problem is that you’ve got only limited amount of resources - that’s why you’ve got a telephone - you can call for more resources and even here you’ve got two choices - you can sacrifice some money and get the resources faster. That’s good if you can’t manage you’re customers as fast as you would like. And if it’s even wors, you can use sake to bribe them.

So if you think, that you would be a good chef, now you’ve got good choice to try it. Play Sushi go round in your browser

Cursor*10 - cooperate with yourself!

Cursor*10Today I was looking for a really original game and here it is - it’s called Cursor*10 - quite an odd name, isn’t it? But name isn’t the only odd thing here. It’s the gameplay! This game is multiplayer actually. But the problem is, that you are the only player. You don’t understand? Well, let me explain!

In this game, there are 16 levels i.e. 16 floors that you must clear with your cursor. There’s no avatar, there is only your mouse cursor. By clicking the stairs, you get in another floor. In higher rooms you’ll find of course many other things, but I don’t really want to spoil about anything. You’ve got time limit, but the interesting thing will come when time limit will end. You’ll see your last try - your last cursor - and it will help you. And with this new one you must get further, then last time.

And why Cursor*10? You must get in the last level only with 10 cursors! Good luck;oD Play this game in your browser here
